Preschool and Elementary age students leave the 10:30am worship service following the opening song for Sunday School and return for communion.
Confirmation (grades 6 - 8), High School and Adult Classes meet at 9:15am.
Our students in middle school take
part in Confirmation. They journey as a group through three years
of faith formation, fellowship and fun. In the spring of their 8th
grade year the students can choose to affirm for themselves the
promises their parents made for them in baptism. Confirmation
classes take place at 9:15am on Sunday morning.
Confirmation can be designed for individuals of any age.
High School students who have been confirmed are viewed as adult, voting members in the Lutheran church. They continue to grow in relationship with God by studying a variety of topics using books, movies and current music. Throughout the year they participate fully in worship by serving as readers, communion assistants and presenting the occasional play. Friendships are strengthened as they share weekly highs and lows and chocolate.
Book studies, film series, and
education on a variety of topics engage our adult members at times
other than Sunday mornings as well. During Lent and Advent we offer
Wednesday evening gatherings. Adults might also meet periodically
during the evenings or on Saturday for other programs.
